Studio's? As in more than one? Yes thats correct. In addition to the Mixing/Editing suite "The Apartment" Newton Recording works in Collaboration with other studio's. This gives client options as to where they would like to record, and Producer John Newton a choice based on the budjet available and the type of studio best suited for a given project. Location is also a consideration, while Newton Recording is based in Vanouver BC there is also the option of "The Groove" recording studio in Vernon BC.

DCM Studios has 2 control rooms and 3 live rooms for tracking all types of audio. The studios were designed and built with the help of John Vrtacic of Vrtacic Design (link) and Jackson Langley Construction. DCM Studios is located in Deep Cove north vancouver, and has a great sounding live room.

"The Apartment" is Newton Recordings' Vancouver studio, a place to edit and mix. While recording is often done in one of our partner studios, the rest of the project happens here. Some of the gear we use is listed below.

The Sound Suite boasts a good roster of mics, preamps, compressors, and eq’s for every application. Each piece of equipment listed on this page brings a unique sound to the game allowing the “Audio Paint Palette” to be vast. The Sound Suite is in Abbotsford BC.
